Ingredients

  • 1 cup 2 sticks unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup make sure it’s pure maple syrup for the best flavor!
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips semi-sweet or milk chocolate, your choice!

Instructions

Preheat the Oven

  • Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat to prevent the cookies from sticking.

Cream Butter and Sugar

  • In a large mixing bowl, beat together the softened butter and brown sugar until it’s light and fluffy. This should take about 2-3 minutes with an electric mixer on medium speed.

Add Maple Syrup, Eggs, and Vanilla

  • Once the butter and sugar are creamed, add in the maple syrup, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix everything until well combined. The maple syrup will add a slight runniness, but don’t worry, that’s what makes these cookies so delicious!

Combine Dry Ingredients
